শিল্পোন্নত দেশগুলোর সংগঠন জি-সেভেন চীনের সমালোচনা করে যে বিবৃতি দিয়েছে তাকে অভ্যন্তরীণ ব্যাপারে মারাত্মক রকমের হস্তক্ষেপ বলে মন্তব্য করেছে বেইজিং। চীন বলেছে, এই ধরনের বিবৃতি তার সম্মানের ওপর কলঙ্ক লেপনের প্রচেষ্টা।
লন্ডনে অবস্থিত চীনা দূতাবাস আজ (সোমবার) বলেছে, “ব্রিটেনে অনুষ্ঠিত শীর্ষ সম্মেলন শেষে জি সেভেন যে চূড়ান্ত বিবৃতি দিয়েছে তার বিরুদ্ধে জোরালো প্রতিবাদ জানাচ্ছে বেইজিং। এই বিবৃতির মাধ্যমে সত্যকে বিকৃত করা হয়েছে এবং কয়েকটি দেশ বিশেষ করে আমেরিকার অসৎ উদ্দেশ্য প্রকাশ হয়ে পড়েছে।”
চীনা দূতাবাসের মুখপাত্র আরো বলেন, সিংকিয়াং ইস্যুতে জি-সেভেন সুবিধা নেয়ার চেষ্টা করেছে এবং ঘটনাকে রাজনৈতিকীকরণ করে চীনের অভ্যন্তরীণ ব্যাপারে হস্তক্ষেপ করেছে যার তীব্র বিরোধিতা করছি আমরা। জি সেভেন-এর সদস্য দেশগুলো মিথ্যা, কল্পকথা এবং ভিত্তিহীন অভিযোগ ছড়াচ্ছে বলেও তিনি উল্লেখ করেন। ব্রিটেনে অবস্থিত চীনা দূতাবাস আরো বলেছে, জি-সেভেনের এই ধরনের সংঘাত সৃষ্টি এবং চীনের বিরুদ্ধে অপবাদ ছড়ানোর প্রচেষ্টা বন্ধ করতে হবে।
